New Additions

This weekend we decided enough bare dirt! Now, neither one of us have done any landscaping before...and it showed...we had to call my mom several times for advice. We're not sure how good it looks, but we now have some plants in place of nothingness. And it's made us so happy!

We hear these things need lots and lots of H2O!

Updates

Wow! Time is going at record pace for us! I cannot believe it's been since May that I last posted. We're still alive...just with tired muscles (from the move), few more wrinkles (from the stress of it all), and with lots of excitement (our new life together is quickly approaching!)Last weekend Hayley and I were given the best bachelorette party! Janna hosted in Swansea...We spent the afternoon at Hidden Lake Winery and then ate at Olive Garden, and spent the night at Janna's Bridal Bed & Breakfast Inn. We stayed up until 3:30 a.m. telling old stories, watching old dance recitals, and just being together. All 10 of our FHS crew attended this grand event. We hadn't all been together in one spot in years. It was fabulous! I can't wait for the next time we can all get together and tell old stories!

Playdate, Miller Visit, & New House

Life has been crazy busy! Andrew is finishing up his first class this week. I'm trying (key word) to get wedding stuff done and all the other things that come with entering the real world...which isn't nearly as much fun as I thought it was going to be...darn!

Jack (Erin's baby) and Landrey (Courtney's baby) have scheduled playdates on Thursdays...Hayley & I decided to crash the playdate last week and what fun we had! Thanks for letting us non-mothers join you!

A couple of weeks ago, Steve & Steph took a trip to IU...So we met them for dinner as they passed by us. It was so good to catch up with them...Wonderful people!

OUR NEW HOME!!!
We bought a house! I can't move in until the 1st of July...start work on the 2nd of July...great timing. Andrew will move in after we get married.

IUSO Graduation

The whole family came out to see their little Em graduate from the big school! Here they are: Brother John, Sister Em, Grandma Ruth, Mom Marilyn, Dad Bill. I felt so special to have my family with me...They've been a HUGE support these past 4yrs.

This is Alison! She's letting me crash at her place this week. Alley does HR for Target...not an optometry student...she got in some good people watching time...made some observations about us Opt peeps. I guess we all have the same mannerisms and speak in the same way. Who knew?

Home Again, Home Again...

Back in Illinois!...Well, actually I'm in Indiana for the week, staying with my good friend Alison...I'll explain. I drove from P-Cola, FL to Andrew's on Thursday (left @ 5am!) . We did a quick day and a half of house hunting...then drove to my parent's house. Andrew & my dad worked on building a new deck...My mom worked in the yard...and I packed my bags...again...and left for B-town, IN to take my final Boards and graduate. I got up at 4:30 CST to take my boards at 6:30 CST (I'm whining here if you haven't caught on). They lasted until 10:00 CST...And I am DONE! Graduation is this Friday...we have a couple days of seminars & such...but I am officially done with optometry school! Sweet!My dad gave Andrew his old little motorcycle...needs a little work...but looks like fun!
